Warriors start the home season with a challenge game win

Whitley Warriors played their second challenge game of the 2014/15 season on Sunday evening when Aberdeen Lynx travelled down to Tyneside for the first ever match between the two sides. Warriors were without the experienced forward DJ Good who injured his hand against irkcaldy Kestrels last weekend, while senior netminder Richie Lawson was unavailable.

Whitley Warriors travelled up to the Scottish borders for the NIHL Moralee Conference Play Off Semi Final against Solway Sharks on Saturday afternoon. Warriors coach Simon Leach was able to choose from an extensive roster given that the only players missing from the Whitley line up were defencemen Nathan Ryder and Callum Read.
