Whitley Warriors head coach Simon Leach has announced that he will step down from his current role with the club at the end of the current campaign. Simon has had two spells behind the bench at Hillheads as well as a long, illustrious playing career with the club.

Warriors travelled down to Yorkshire to take on Sheffield Spartans on Saturday afternoon. Whitley were without a number of players due to injuries however both Martin Crammond and Callum Queenan came back into the squad after missing last weekend's game against Sutton Sting.

Whitley Warriors played their second challenge game of the 2014/15 season on Sunday evening when Aberdeen Lynx travelled down to Tyneside for the first ever match between the two sides. Whitley Warriors travelled up to the Scottish borders for the NIHL Moralee Conference Play Off Semi Final against Solway Sharks on Saturday afternoon.
