Canadian import forward Andre Payette has signed for Whitley Warriors for the upcoming 2015/16 season. Payette spent the last few seasons in the English Premier League as the player/coach of Sheffield Steeldogs and has a wealth of experience, icing for a number top British sides such as Newcastle Vipers, Manchester Phoenix and Coventry Blaze.

Whitley Warriors are delighted to announce that former GB international David Longstaff who has won over 100 caps for his country has been appointed as the clubs new player/coach. Longstaff began his career with Whitley back in 1989 when he first appeared for Warriors in a competitive match up in the old British League as a teenager.

Whitley Warriors played their second challenge game of the 2014/15 season on Sunday evening when Aberdeen Lynx travelled down to Tyneside for the first ever match between the two sides.
